Ladies and gents, apologies for the absence of posts over the last fortnight, my time was taken up preparing for a major refurbishment so there was no time to scroll the listings, only time to pack!

I'll return in the new academic year, however, with more art listings for the week ahead.

Have a great summer break!

Please note, however, there will not be a post next week! Check out the BBC, Channel 4, and Sky websites for listings.

Welcome to the Arts Programmes on TV and Radio blog!

This blog will alert you to forthcoming TV and Radio programmes about the Arts on the free to view channels (BBC and Channel 4), Sky Arts, and Radio.  In other words, this is your personal arts TV and Radio guide.

Posts will appear weekly on a Wednesday with listings for the week ahead.

Sometimes these programmes will be vital watching (or listening) that is closely matched to your course curriculum, sometimes they will just be excellent arts programmes that are worth bringing to your attention.  Look out for programmes marked with an 'E' for essential as this will indicate a programme that is highly relevant to your course. And look out for an 'R' which signifies a programme I've recorded*.

So without further ado welcome to the blog and most importantly, happy watching, listening and learning!

* Programmes covered by the Educational Recording Agency (ERA) license can be stored on the College's Video Server and kept for as long as they are relevant.  In this instance your tutor will add a link to the recording on Blackboard enabling you to watch the video as and when you like.
